I really like this pump. I never thought of using something like this. I buy the hand soap with the pump as part of it. But this is so much better. I think in the long run it might end up being cheaper. Mixing your own soap isn't hard at all. I did as the instructions said. I put my favorite liquid hand soap in it up to the first mark. And then filled it to the second mark with water. Slowly putting in the water to minimize the amount of suds that it makes. I then let it set for a bit so that some more of the bubbles can dissipate. And then stirred the water into the soap so that it is all mixed up. I was very happy with how the pump performs. The foam comes out easily. It does not shoot out like some pumps can. It goes right into your hand if held under the nozzle. The pump is easy to push down. The base of the pump is wide so that it is sturdy for pushing on. I like that the base is made of glass. And the pump is made of brushed nickel. Which is nice, most things like this are made of plastic. And the glass is a frosted type. It looks very nice.

I dearly love the foaming soap dispensers and have one at every sink in the house but never liked the advertising on them. This Better Homes brushed nickel foaming soap pump dispenser blends so well with my stainless steel sinks and appliances in the kitchen making it doubly endearing. The bell shaped frosted glass weighs just enough to keep it upright when you press on the dispenser, giving you the reassuring feel of quality. This is totally unlike the lightweight plastic ones with the advertising all over them that can tip over when hurriedly used, especially if the liquid soap level is low. I purchase the inexpensive large bottles of the refill liquid and will be replacing my bathroom dispensers with ones like this soon!
