Paring knife

Got this on sale and love having this 4" knife in the block in the kitchen. This knife is great for all types of salad preparation or for fruit desserts. Small and versatile with the Shun knife edge making food prep easy. Enjoyed this knife so much I had to get a second one for the kitchen.

Compared to our prior knives,

Compared to our prior knives, these are more evenly balanced and lighter. My wife loves the overall look of the knife and functional style of blade with dimpling.

Excellent Knife

I have very small hands and I use it to slice, chop, mince, etc. I would agree with the 1* review, that as a small paring knife it would be worthless for the exact reasons the reviewer mentions. But as a small "chef's knife" it is excellent. I use it all the time. Giving this knife an appropriate name would be useful (not paring).
