I bought this a few months ago to replace my old one when I dropped the jar and broke it. Could not find the same one to replace it, so I bought this one. I loved my old one, had 8 speeds, worked great for smoothies, soups e.t.c. This one only has 3 speeds, its much bigger and heavier. It does not chop the banana or the strawberries very good, always lumps of banana in my drink. I've tried leaving it longer on higher speed still had lumps. I will keep it, but would not buy again.
