Isaac and Zebulon are the last two Jews living in the Islamic Afghan Republic, amid millions of impassioned Muslim neighbors. The two men co-inhabit one of Kabul's few remaining synagogues - octogenarian Isaac on the lower floor, selling amulets to the Islamic people; middle-aged Zebulon on the upper level, quibbling with patrons over the price of the wine that he's selling. Incredibly, the men feel no loyalty or allegiance to one another, but instead berate and attack each other continually with vicious insults, slurs and accusations - Isaac insisting that Zebulon forged a deal with the Taliban, Zebulon asserting that Isaac may be Jewish by birth, but is in fact a practicing Muslim. ...Cabal in Kabul ( Cabale à Kaboul )
