Five star rating for this surprisingly awesome computer which has no included monitor but about three stars for the included Windows 10. Installed Windows updates. Got this before large price increase as upgradeable to Windows 11 backup for wife's Windows 10 computer. First boot was able to configure the OS as I wanted, but had problem getting the OS to activate the CD/DVD player to use an OEM printer install CD, finally worked and installed files, printer works per spec. Tried several cold reboots to make certain that the OS was stable, worked fine. At next day's cold boot Windows 10 monitor display was at low resolution and wrong orientation, tried several cold reboots, same problem. Tried correcting in Windows settings without success. Shut Acer down, reconnected and started my current Emachines computer which uses Linux Lite, monitor displayed at the set much higher resolution and orientation. Later reconnected and started the Acer Windows 10 machine, this time unexplainedly booted display at my set high resolution and orientation. Am not keen on included Norton antivirus which is too intrusive and attempts to take over computer operation. Have scrapped Windows 10 from my other tower and laptop which are not upgradeble to Windows 11 and instead have gone completely to Linux Lite - much easier to use and less problematic, faster, and more stable. Acer starts quickly with Windows 10. Hadn't anticipated that there is no VGA/DVI outputs even though not included in the Walmart website spec., requires HDMI to VGA or DVI converter to use with a conventional computer monitor (cost about $5). Is hardware upgradeable with 2 unoccupied SATA mainboard slots and space for more interior hard drives, one memory slot is unoccupied, 1 available PCI-e slot and 1 available PCI slot.
