Almost 5 years ago I put up security cameras around the house that used Cat5e wires. The wires provided with the camera set didn't last long and cameras stopped working after only a few months. I purchased one of these as a test and the camera came back to life. So I purchased 8 in total, all a different color so I could tell which wire goes to a given camera. Now almost 5 years later the wires running through the attic in Florida summers and they are still working as the day there were installed.
