Razor A5 Prime Folding Kick Scooter - Gray, 8" Wheels, Anodized Aluminum, for Adults up to 220 lb

This scooter is great fun for me and my son do together outside as a family. He is better at rising than I am bit I'm getting the hang of it. Weight limit is 220 pounds. Rides very smooth. Handles great. We love this scooter.

I am a Spark Reviewer for Walmart and was sent a free Razor A5 Prime Adult Kick Scooter to review. This scooter is for ages 8 and up to adults weighing 220 pounds. This is a very sturdy scooter made of anodized aluminum in a dark gun metal gray color with black base and footboard. It has large 8” urethane wheels which is great because they hold up to pavement without ever needing air. The larger wheels also make it easier to go over small ridges in the areas where you ride. The length of the foot board area is 24” long. The area for feet is 13 ½” long by 5” wide. This makes it comfortable even for adults with a size 12 shoe. Normally, when I ride a scooter, I have one foot firmly planted on the board and one foot perched on the back of the board to bring the back of my foot down on the brake. My husband who wears a size 12 shoe was able to plant his feet in this way comfortably. The foot area has an anti-slip material so my foot stays where I want it. In my photo you can see a size 12 shoe with the foot flat on the board and the other foot perched on the brake. There is plenty of room. The handlebars are adjustable and lock in with a clamp. I am 5'3 and was able to have the handlebars at a comfortable height and my husband is almost 6' tall. The handlebars extended up to almost the top of his stomach area. The hand grips are ergonomic so that my hands get a good grip. My other photo shows the shape of the hand grips. The rear brake is almost 2” wide and comes up to the top of the rear wheel so there is excellent brake area. The scooter folds for easy storage and makes it easy to pack in the car to go. The one thing I wish it came with was a strap to carry it. We like to take scooters to paved park trails and on vacation and it is so much easier to have a folding scooter that is ready to go when we are and so much easier to take along then a bike. The scooter has a kickstand that is under the footboard. What I like about it is that it folds under the scooter while not in use and when using it unfolds to support both sides of the footboard. The scooter comes with an allen-wrench so you can tighten the clamp for the handlebars and the clamp that helps hold the handlebars to the base. Now for the ride. The scooter is fast (or as fast as you can kick the ground). I live in an area with alleys and took it for a test up and down the alley. The larger wheels really get going quickly and that means less kicking the ground. They also made it easily over the tarred areas and small cracks in the ground. It was a very smooth and fast ride. To be honest this scooter is really for older kids and adults. This is not a toy. This scooter can be used not only for recreation but for getting around town, college campuses etc. I really like this scooter and can't wait for warmer weather to return so I can get out and ride around.
