No longer have a gradient light dimmer

These are beautiful fans, they're well made, silent when running. I bought some years ago and they were perfect. I just moved to a new place and bought five new fans to outfit the new place, and they've changed the lighting system. They used to have a smooth gradient dimmer that you could set to warm or cool light. Now they have five or six steps in brightness settings and I honestly can't really tell the difference between them. They're all too bright. Sucks because I already had them installed, so now I need to buy lamps too.
