The first chapter discusses the development of music therapy in Bulgaria and the second one provides an overview of the development of music therapy as a scientific discipline in Europe and the world and introduces some of the main music therapy schools. In the remaining four chapters Ahtarova presents cases and shares her psychotherapy experience from different periods of her professional development as a psychotherapist using three music therapy approaches in her psychotherapeutic practice.
