Whirlpool Sensor and Harness Kit, W10183157:

Unplug the washer and shut off the water supply before beginning to install the replacement rotor position sensor
To access the old rotor position sensor, disconnect the hot and cold water hoses and pull the end of the drain hose from the standpipe
Tape the washer lid closed, then carefully lay the washer on its front panel
Use a 1/4" Allen wrench to loosen the rotor mounting screw as far as it will go; the screw cannot be completely removed from the rotor
The rotor is seated on the splined tub shaft
Rock the rotor back and forth and pull it along the shaft until it makes contact with the screw head
Then loosen the rotor mounting screw again until the rotor comes free from the shaft
