Our dryer was recently purchased; being the klutz that I am, I broke the temperature control knob. Since I do not know what was wrong, I ordered both the knob and the timer to fix the dryer. Fortunately for me, the knob arrived before the timer. I went home, changed the knob and the dryer started fine. The timer arrived two days later -on time though as promised. Went to the pick up counter at Walmart and the very friendly employee solved my problem and I was able to return the item immediately! Thank you sirs, you deserve a better salary.

Lasted two years
Purchased this to repair dryer in 2016. Having to replace again almost exactly 2 years later. Really expected it to last longer. Like the original, it started binding up and was almost impossible to turn. I will say that this seemed to start after my daughter turned it backwards (counter clockwise). Don't know if that could have bunged up the internal hardware or not.
