Rope required

This is a powerful magnet, with great loops/connecting rings. I feel the magnet is on the smaller side however my fishing buddy thought it was a great size. Our body typs differ by about 75 lbs. The ability to have a side pull is time saving for me. I do feel as though it should have a plastic guard around it, again my buddy says no. I would say a compromise would be one you could choose to snap on. The ad is a bit deceiving as it does say kit and you do only receive the magnet, but in all fairness I didn't read all of the add and small print. Of course I would recommend thread lock with this magnet as well as any other. Again do remember if purchasing this product make sure to purchase the proper quality rope to go with it.
