Great For Many Uses

These lids are just what the Caption ordered. I addition to canning, we use mason jars for storage...such as pasta, rice, spices, pickled eggs and many other uses. In the past we've used standard metal canning lid and rings for sealing our pickled eggs, but the vinegar brine is corrosive and causes rust. These Ball plastic lids eliminate that problem and they seal well, and we've experienced no leakage at this time.

These lids are way better than canning lids

These lids are great! I don't can but I do use the mason jars for pantry storage, including soup mixes made up ahead, so using these lids is so much better than keeping the canning lids on the jars. It's nice to just have a lid to unscrew instead of messing with taking off the two pieces of canning lids.

My new favorite way to store leftovers in my fridge. Wide mouth jars have an opening large enough to fit my hand through for when I'm washing dishes. These plastic lids don't rust or come apart when you open the jar. Two quart (64oz) jars are perfect.
