The sidewalls have extra rubber outside of the flex zone for more protection and there is an extra belt under the tread to protect against flats. On-road, this tire is surprisingly quiet for such an open and aggressive M/T tire. It is designed to provide as little road noise as possible and an exceptionally comfortable ride.
