Use have can lights (recessed ceiling) in multiple rooms, all of which use dimmer switches. These are instant-on with no flicker. We switched to all LED's when they became available, and have tried multiple brands. We learned not to over-spend on name brand LED bulbs, the technology has evolved such that even store brands work just as well (but always read customer reviews!). Bought this brand based on previous (positive) reviews, along with their purchase value. We are pleased with them, they are very bright white (as we prefer). They don't generate any heat (you don't want a recessed light generating any heat in close proximity to insulation). I always write the replacement date (using a Sharpie) on bulbs so I can monitor their longevity, and these have held up - I expect the occasional LED to fail short of their life expectancy, which all brands do (IMHO), so we always order a spare box once we find a good value product that works....this is a good value that works well for us.
