The 801 professional 2-part spot putty is an excellent product. Sets fast and hard with minimal shrinkage compared to 1-part putties. It also sands very well, much easier than a full-blown body filler. That said, the mix ratio is about 50:1 by weight. Simple intuition tells us to look at the total weight of the putty compared to the total weight of the hardener and to devise a ratio. This is best accomplished with a precision balance (scale); after mixing it correctly a couple of times it is pretty easy to judge by color. It's always wise to download product TDS's, where this information can be found. Nonetheless, there are some errors on the webpage for this product. The product image is incorrect and depicts spot putty 907, which is a single component glaze. There is also another description incorrectly stating that 801 is a single component product. The term "professional" is your keyword for the 2k product. The 907 is not labeled "professional." 3M needs to review the webpage for this and other items. It's definitely a blemish on their otherwise typically superior product offerings.
