The 3M 8578 Strip Calk is a soft, non hardening butyl rubber seam sealer designed for filling automotive body joints, seams, and gaps. The pliable material can be applied by hand without tools and will not shrink, harden, or become brittle. Each strip measures about 3/16 inch in diameter and one foot in length, and the box includes 60 strips. The caulk adheres to metal, paint, glass, and rubber and can be painted immediately after application. Its high temperature resistance makes it suitable for use in engine compartments, firewalls, and other demanding areas.
