Disappointing

Disappointed in this primer. I had to apply two coats and still had stains show through, and it didn't go on very smoothly...and I used good brushes. I was trying to prep wood windows for painting. 99% was sanded...some little spots of varnish that didn't sand off. This primer claimed to be good for all surfaces, even unsanded. After the two coats, I thought maybe my one-coat paint would cover better. The semi-gloss paint just dragged over the surface;again using a good brush. Definitely will need another coat of paint. My windows are now a disappointment.
