Yokohama Avid Touring-S All Season 235/65R17 104T Passenger Tire

This review was solicited only a week out after installation. Initially the ride is very good, the tires stick well in the wet and damp on a Hyundai Santa Fe. The tires track well to steering input and has been overall very good. I would like to let others know about how the tires are wearing after a few months and if they're continuing to stick well in different types of rain situations. This is an all-season tire and is rated for 65k with a decent weight rating. Initially, I would highly recommend these tires for the performance and cost. If you can't afford better Bridgestone, Michelin or Pirelli then this should be your next option to consider. Don't buy cheap, crappy tires like Goodyear, Khumo, or Chinese manufactured tires, they don't last and don't have good wet traction. Consider the tire ratings, buy the best traction you can afford along with the highest mileage, lowest heat rating and get the right weight rating for your vehicle. If you have a heavy car it will shorten the life of your tires. Also, I want a tire that can disperse water quickly. All tires are ok in the dry, however if you slide in the wet, you wreck. A few words of caution concerning your installer. Make sure that they replace your valve stems, valve cores and caps. WalMart reused my valve stems, cores and caps because they were out. I've got to return to make them replace these. Verify your air pressure to be correct ASAP. Sams Club extremely overinflated my tires 53 psi when it should've been 32 psi. Make sure that all of your lugs are torqued correctly when you get home. I've had loose lugs before. In the south, always buy a really good all-season tires.
