Wonderwall Music

2014 remastered reissue of the 1968 soundtrack to the 1969 film Wonderwall with three bonus tracks. The album was the first solo release by a Beatle released on Apple's Sapcor label. Sessions for the album began in London in December 1967 with additional sessions in India the following June. The music was a mixture of Indian music & psychedelic rock. Musicians include Ringo Starr, Eric Clapton, the Remo Four, Tony Ashton, Colin Manley, Roy Dyke, John Barham, Tommy Reilly, Edward Antony & more plus a host of Indian musicians on the Bombay sessions. The film's director Joe Massot invited George to compose the soundtrack & George happily agreed to the project. The film starred Jane Birkin, Jack MacGowran, Irene Handl, Richard Wattis & Beatrix Lehmann. The colorful cover art was illustrated by Bob Gill.
