I've seen some reviews of these or similar lights that they aren't bright enough, are some weird color, or don't work out of the box. While I won't dispute what others received, that was not my experience. The two red/green pairs (4 lights in total) are all incredibly bright and are perfect Christmas colors. I can't speak to longevity as I just installed them, but so far I'm delighted with my purchase. They're awesome, and they pass the “happy wife” test with flying colors!

The best insect repellent money can buy

Bought a new home and had no choice but to buy these to keep the insects away at night. My husband had never heard of yellow bulbs to repel insects and he didn't believe it would actually work. But they do! We can actually use our back porch at night now without spending an evening with pests surrounding us. Would recommend to anyone. I would tell them not to expect full brightness due to the color but obviously that's something you will gladly trade off for.

Warm glow lighting that actually helps with bugs

I really love the softer amber glow these bulbs give off. They still provide plenty of light, but it feels much warmer and more relaxing than bright white outdoor bulbs.
