LifeSmart LifePro 1500W Portable Electric Infrared Quartz Indoor Fireplace

This little heater has a pretty flame that is adjustable and can be turned off if you do not want to see it. It does a great job of heating the space I need it to. My house has additions on both ends of the front of it. One off the orig. family room where I have the heater, and one off the dining room. Those extra spaces do not have overhead vents in them like the rest of the house and tend to get cold in the winter. I have found that setting it on the echo setting it keeps the whole front of the house at a very comfortable temperature. Over all we are very happy with it. The only pro I have with it is that you can not set it next to a wall like the fireplaces. It did not say that in the description on the website when I bought it, so I had to re arrange some things in the family room to use it. I needed something smaller because of space limitations and that is why I chose it when I bought it. But, i'm still happy and think it was a good choice. I would just tell everyone that it needs to sit away from the wall so they are aware of that fact when they make their decision to purchase.

We purchased the Lifesmart 1800 Sq Ft Fireplace, model LS-1111HH, for supplemental heating (and just to enjoy the look of a fireplace) when when moving to a new rental home in upstate New York last year. While keeping the thermostat on our oil furnace set pretty low, the fireplace keeps 600 square feet of connecting rooms downstairs decently warm - though it has basically no effect on two rooms at the back of the house that connect with with smaller doorways. Still, it more than paid for itself last winter, and we're glad to have it around.
