Classic Comedy and Great Music Too!!

One of my all time favorite movies--it's right up there with Animal House, Caddyshack, SlapShot, and Airplane. The thing about this movie that sets it apart from common comedies is the music. It features classic tunes by Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Cab Calloway, Sam & Dave, and many others--not to mention the famous Blues Brother Band which features the best jazz & R&B artists in history. Overall, this movie is a timeless classic with entertainment value that can't be matched by any modern movie.

The Blues Brothers

What can one say about John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd. These two alumnus of Saturday Night Live easily transfer their comedic talents from the small to the large screen. In this musical comedy, aside from all the laughs and highjinx, and a mysterious woman (Carrie Fisher) seeking their demise, the Blues Brothers selfless and noble goal is to save the orphanage they were raised in from foreclosure. Appearances by Cab Calloway, Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin and James brown, make this classic a rare gem of a movie well worth the price.
