Lion Brand Yarn Pound of Love Creamsicle Baby Orange Yarn

Lion Brand Pound of Love yarn is what I use every year to knit beanies which I donate to a nearby community center. My beanies fit school aged children and no two are identical because of various stripes . I avoid girlish colors because I was requested to make more boy colors (which girls sometimes also wear). I donate 100-130 beanies per year to this center. I also use this yarn in various colors starting with pink to knit sleep caps for women who have no hair usually caused by chemo. I do this anonymously but know they fit and stay on because of a few who know me.

This is the best value I've found for yarn. IT IS ONE POUND. I bought it in LILAC to knit a baby blanket. It's great because there is enough yarn to knit the whole blanket and maybe even a pair of booties. Lilac is a beautiful color for a baby girl - not as girly as pink but still feminine. I found the yarn easy to knit with - it is better than Caron's yarn, Red Heart's soft. It doesn't split too much. People who are used to really nice yarns may not love it, but I thought it was great. This will be my go-to yarn from now on. I also note that it doesn't shed onto my clothes - big plus. The shipping was easy - although the FedEx stores have annoyingly long waits. I think I will use the $0.97 shipping and just chalk it up as part of the cost (which is SUPER low).
