I purchased this meter as my Dr. requests this type of reading rather than the normal blood sugar meter I have. At my last office visit the staff performed blood work. My A1C number was given to me and I compared the labs number with the one I took at home. Both were right on. The instructions for use are very easy to understand. I would recommend this product to anyone with type 2 diabetes that requires A1C readings.

Good tool for diabetics
I have used this product for years (It was sold with different packaging by another retailer previously). I have done side by side comparisons of the test kit with lab A1Cs and either gotten the same result or at most a difference of .2. Doing regular daily glucose testing gives you an idea whether you're diabetes is under control but only an A1c will tell you if you're really on track. So I do one every three months. This test can be done at home, at any time. And the price is reasonable. Actually I thought the price had gone up from the previous retailer's price for this product. However that product only contained two tests and this contains four. One should still get at least an annual lab A1C but this is a good tool in keeping your diabetes under control.
