Measures in pounds, ounces, and grams, and converts the weight between any of the three. It has a tare feature. I understand it uses weight to show a measurement in cups, tablespoons, and teaspoons. Excellent for cooking, baking, and for diabetics and others counting carbohydrates to weight food and then calculate the carbohydrates in food that will be eaten.
