IronMind Captains of Crush Hand Gripper No. 1.5 – 167.5 lb. Grip Strength

I'm writing this review for the 120 lb. gripper. I actually started on the 60 lb. "G / Guide" level. Quickly decided I needed more resistance and got the 80 lb (that's the "T / Trainer" one). Worked at that a few weeks until I could slam out 40 reps (and I mean fully closing the handles together, otherwise it does not count!) in a row on both hands. Then I moved up to the 100 lb. Same deal there, worked at it until I could close it 30-40 times in a row. I have been doing 2-3 sets like this on each level since I started, as I worked my strength up. NOW I'm on the 120 lb. and this sucker is where it gets tough. So do NOT start with the 120 lb. unless you already know for a fact you're strong enough to use it. I think most guys that aren't constantly in the gym and are just exercising at home without heavy weights, should probably start on the 60 or 80. I strongly recommend Iron Mind grippers if you want to build your forearms. The quality is heirloom level. You will be able to pass these down to your sons, and these babies will still be working when they pass on. Remember, Iron Mind sells this product in different levels for a reason. You're meant to work your way up. Do not try to start with the 120 unless you know what you're doing. That said, once you do get to the 120 lb. your forearms will be noticeably bigger, I mean it's like really obvious you're doing something different with your workout. It will give a huge boost to your self confidence if you're a naturally slim guy like I am. Hit 50-100 reps every day on both hands (don't neglect the left hand!), or at least 3-4 days out of the week. If you get to where you're feeling pain or discomfort in your knuckles or forearm muscles when you do reps, put the gripper down for 1-2 days and increase your protein intake, let those forearm muscles heal and work on your legs, core, etc. during those days.
