Using Duplicolor Acrylic Lacquer for Guitar Finish

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used Duplicolor Premium Acrylic Lacquer for an unconventional application - painting a guitar. After extensive research, I found that many guitar builders used Duplicolor paint for guitar projects. This was my first build, and I was concerned on how well the paint would adhere to the guitar body. I used gloss black and gloss white on the guitar. In addition to advice online, I followed the directions closely on the paint cans. During the process, I sprayed multiple layers, which included spraying over automotive tape to create a striping effect. When peeling the tape, there was no pulling of the paint at all. The project went so well, I decided not to clear coat it. I will, without hesitation, use Duplicolor Paint on future projects. In fact, after my experience, I have recommended it in forums where other guitar builders have asked for paint recommendations.
