I was very impressed no programming or anything, beware they do not include batteries so be sure you have two AAA batteries. I just turned it on, it is a little bit sluggish for turning it on, but our TV is seven years old, I did not even check the model number. However, we have another Samsung in another bedroom that's about five years old and it works so I figured it would. Would recommend
