So much better than socket versions
I love the simplicity of this unit. We tried socket versions, but they stopped working after so many months and, of course, kept coming on and off everything I dusted. This works so much easier and the touch pad can be placed anywhere. It also works for ceramic lamps, so it isn't limited to metal lamps. My only suggestion would be a small light or glow strip on the pad for easy location in the dark. But all-in-all, this is a great help.

I love these touch pad dimmers. They are great in my tv room, for when I want to turn on a lamp. The little pad just sits on a table, but the lamp is about 3 feet away. The fact that tapping it multiple times dims the light is an extra.
