I have been on many types of snowshoes in my lifetime but now I have a new favorite. These are light and very maneuverable. The bindings don't stretch out when wet like the rawhides. Putting on is quite easy, adjust the heel strap on both shoe to the same hole, with the arch and toe straps held open, slide your heel back into the heel strap then put the toe strap into the buckle and use the rachet lever to tighten. Then do the same with the arch strap and you are ready to go. To remove them just flip the white release lever and pull the straps out of the buckles and step forward out of the shoe. This method means that you won't have to work on the heel strap every time you use them, set them and forget them. The crampons keep them from slipping on icy surfaces. I have been on snowshoes over 65 years and these are the best shoe I have ever been on.
