This cover comes with some plastic sheeting to cover the unit first and seal with tape and then the cover slips over everything. You can even slip the cord and remote inside it holds that tight. When I first put it on, it seemed like you couldn't feel an opening the room anymore in that corner where my unit is. But I have learned that if you get some serious wind, especially blowing right at your unit, you will, of course, feel the cold and see the draft blowing in. Covering your AC unit outside too is a must.
