Mourad ùerzouki, an emblematic figure in hip hop dance, looks back on 20 years of creation through the lens of a dance scholar, Agathe Dumont. A creator and traveller without borders, the choreographer has developed since the 1990s a hybrid hip hop language, borrowing elements from the circus, contemporary dance and martial arts. What does the trajectory of the Kafig company tell us about technique evolution of the French hip hop movement, from its popular successes to its conquest of the stage?
