I had owned one very similar to this years ago, I had worn it out, so I decided to try the highly rated OXO food spinner. I was so disappointed OXO had no holes in the bottom to drain the water, even after emptying the water and trying to dry the food in the spinner it was a total failure, and this was at a cost of over $30 bucks. I threw out that product, and luckily I located this one. Yes it is smaller but the water runs thru and the food is completely dry, all this at a lower cost. Sometimes the cheap looking product turns out to be the best, love it.
