iHome USB-C Male to VGA Female Adapter

Do not buy this product. I tried this product with me and my friends devices, and for one of them it worked. It did not matter what processor or device you ran. I tried a couple Apple Macbooks and HP and Dell laptops (using Intel and AMD processors). The only device that worked was my Samsung Galaxy phone. [If you want to use it for this feature, do buy it. It is actually really neat!] Go choose another product, not this one.

I would rate this a 0 if possible. I bought this to connect my HP to an external device for school when we went online for COVID-19 restrictions. Immediately when I plugged in the adapter to my laptop the screen went black. After I restarted the laptop I found out that the camera, all usb ports (type A and C) were disabled, my laptop no longer had bluetooth capabilities and would no longer shutdown/power off unless you did it by holding down the powerbutton. Not to mention that it would not allow my computer to go to sleep and turn back on without powering it down manually. In short this adapter fried part of my mother board rendering the laptop unusable. I have contacted iHome, a product of LifeWorks and they refuse tk work with me. They refuse to acknowledge that their product was faulty. Save your laptop or other device and DO NOT BUY THIS! I will never trust another iHome product or LifeWorks product ever again after this experience.
