I teach two classes of oil painting students, all adults, 16 students in all. They usually prefer to paint fairly small canvases, 9"x12" or 12"x16". Most of their paintings are landscapes or still lifes. Sooner or later they will need to paint small details, foliage, tree bark, stones, petals—and their brushes suddenly seem too big. That's where these mini brushes come into their own. I have the full set in its case, but the brushes don't last long with 16 students using them every day. The students love them, the little brushes greatly improve their paintings, and cut way down on the class frustration level. Great little fan brushes. Perfect size for small grasses and fur. I mainly wanted the 2 fan brushes but I'm sure I'll find a use for the other tiny brush.
