Vicks Steam Sinus Inhaler Model VIH200 with 4 Bonus VapoPads for Allergies and Colds

I bought this item because one of my doctor’s recommended that I try steam therapy as part of my restrictive lung disease treatment. I’m not convinced that it’s helping my lungs, but I am convinced that it’s done wonders for my sinuses!! I did not use the Vapo pad as I’m a bit afraid that it might be too strong and cause an adverse reaction. I highly recommend this unit if you suffer from any type of nasal or sinus condition. As the unit gets extremely hot during use, a great deal of caution must be taken when in use, and even more so if using with children or the elderly. Also, it is important to use distilled water and not tap water, even though the directions do not mention this. Using distilled water will help keep the heating chamber clear of lime and hard water scale. Plus, I don’t care how “clean” your tap water is … it’s not clean, and you don’t want that junk up your nose or down your lungs.

I got this for my wife that had a cough that just wouldn't go away. The doctor recommended a humidifier, so I got the Vicks Vaporizer. We used the vapor pads in it, and it helped her have a restful sleep. I tried it after developing a cough, and it worked for me.
