Efficient, Quiet & Great For Car Camping
Bought this a few weeks ago for car camping - not the smallest or lightest piece of kit but the volume and separate freezer capability tipped the choice. Fully laden with food and drink and it will likely require two people to lift in and out. I have a Goal Zero YETI 500X and a Nomad 100 Solar Panel - with the unit set at -10C for freezer and 4C for fridge it's drawing ~35W on the 12V outlet which means the solar panel easily keeps the YETI fully recharged during day, even if we're using the YETI for recharging mobile devices, laptops or powering camp lights. Runs very quiet, can hardly hear it. Very pleased with purchase.

Perfect - While I Hide Out!
Right now I'm sheltering in place, during the pandemic. I realized that my regular refrigerator didn't have too much capacity. I wanted another freezer, so I wouldn't have to go into town as often. I bought two of these, the Dometic CFX3 75DZ. They are awesome! So spacious inside, and so good-looking outside! The app lets me see the interior temperatures, by looking at my phone. Perfect. The interior light is awesome. And they're really quiet, which is appreciated. I have never used Dometic refrigerators/freezers before, so I had to get accustomed to the speed of cooling. I happens gradually, unlike a home fridge which is fast. But once it's below zero, it stays there. That's what counts. The bottom line? I might never need to go into town for 2-3 months. And these days, that's awesome. Thank you, Dometic.
