EVO trainer

I just purchased my second P 51 pts the evo engine is a great engine for any skill leval I pulled 3 blade prop first thing and use a 10x7 or 11x7 this motor has no problem with either. Will try a 10x6 three blade in near future and let you know how it spins GOOD JOB HORIZON !

Nice engine so far

I actually bought the Alpha 40 RTF and this engine came with it. At first I was a little skeptical to buy the plane because of some reviews I've read about Evolution engines. I was expecting troubles during the break in process and have not had any. I primed the engine with 15%, put the glow ignitor on flipped it by hand only twice and it runs. Let it idle for a few minutes then started to run it up. Good transition to full power. It's running rich for the time being during the break in process and I've got another tank or two of fuel to run through it before flight. The engine is very quiet and feels like it pulls very hard when at full power. So far i can only give a rave review of this as it has been no problem and quit honestly one of the best running engines i currently have. See for yourself before passing on one of these engines....they are a great value for entry level hobbiests.

Great engine.

I got this engine in a Hangar 9 P-51 PTS I got from a friend, and it was so easy to get up and running. I use 15% glow fuel, and it runs great. The high-speed needle valve was very easy to adjust for break in, and it only took 3 flips to start. It's pretty quiet, runs smoothly, and it has great fuel efficiency. I can fly it at 1/3 throttle and it will fly for 20 minutes or more on a single tank. But I recommend you set your timers for 15 minutes, depending on how you manage your throttle. The engine is built sturdily and there have been no air leaks or problems with the engine so far. Nice work, Horizon!
