A purchaser can achieve the mileage of high performance tires by maintaining a sound maintenance program. I choose the mid range tires and take care of them. Choose the tread pattern and tire composition for the season you will do most of your driving in. A winter tread will not serve well if you only have two weeks of winter as well as a summer dry season tire will not work well in winter. I choose an all season tire and drive accordingly.
