I purchased this stockpot for canning. I already had a stockpot that did not have a flat bottom. After doing some research, it was recommended that the stockpot should have a flat bottom for glass stove tops. The Cuisinart has the flat bottom I was looking for and I am very happy with my purchase!

I like this stock pot! I chose this one out of all of the others that I've reviewed because of the reputation behind the name. It has a good heft to it. The lid fits somewhat tightly. When I sear meat it comes out perfectly crispy and non-stick. The water boils within minutes. I do recommend this pot.
