Bought this item to allow me to easily change oil in a marine engine (I/O power boat). It took only a few minutes for this pump to suck up 5 quarts of ambient temperature engine oil. Performed flawlessly, did not overheat.

Perfect For My Needs!
I purchased this compact 12v unit to use in my homemade pre lubrication system for my ford f150. I do not stat my truck that often so it sits and pressurizing the oil system before starting reduces wear. This is not waterproof so be mindful of that but it only draws 6 amps under my application of circulating 5w-20 synthetic motor oil. Good solid pump with easy to replace internals if/when needed.
