No doubt about it, the family loves it, my pocket book likes it. Getting the cheap ones meant lots of waste by having to stack them in 2-3's. Getting the super expensive ones meant lots of money. This is perfect. Just thick enough, moisture repellant enough to work in most situations. Won't work if you have someone who puts a half a pound of mashed potatoes on it!!! Better for those of us who are careful with our portions, know enough to get 2nds if you are starving. I buy the dessert ones for use most of the time, because it discourages overloading the plate. A child will load a half pound of mac and cheese on it, and you will see it bend! So remember, get lots of dessert ones, and just a few of these for occassional home use. Fat Uncle Freddie... better go for the expensive brand, or regular plates because this is not designed for more than 6-7 ounces of food at a time!!! Yes, your sloppy joe won't soak through. Slices of pizza look good on them, and yeah, they even look classy.
