The go-to solution in tapes
This has been our go-to general purpose tape for use on aluminum sheet metal, and just about everything else. Durable, holds well, yet tears off the roll easy. Unlike duct tapes, it is nice and thin, and leaves no residue to speak of. And for actual masking tape use, hard to beat. Only downside is availability. Getting harder to find.

We put down pre-finished bamboo floors in our houses as soon as the plaster is done. That means we have to protect the floors while all the interior trim work is happening, as well as while all the messy subcontractors are coming in and out with their muddy boots. We cover the floors with a rolled cardboard type floor covering, and tape it down around the edges with the exterior blue tape. Even after being taped directly to the pre-finished surface, and being walked on for at least two months, the tape came right up without taking the finish off the floor. I was nervous about leaving it on for that long, but it worked beautifully! I highly recommend it! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
