Turn emitter on and allow to heat for 30 minutes. Measure the floor temperature of the enclosure under the heat emitter to determine that it is appropriate for your pet. Note: Some reptiles require a nighttime temperature drop to induce normal breeding behavior. A standard light timer can be used to turn off the Heat Emitter in the evening and back on again in the morning to create a more natural environment.
