FMS Stand Airplane Display X Stand / Holder V2 Gold- FMMA007G Air Field Equip & Electronics

I was expecting a light-weight, almost wimpy stand, but honest got way more than expected. This thing is made from extruded aluminum with the main poles being "D" shaped allowing for rigid mounting of the scissor lock mechanism. The feet & cradles fit into the "D" shaped poles and are retained with two screws each. The scissor lock has deep defined cogs that ensure good retention when tightened. Nice dense foam covers the cradle area too. This stand is pretty freakin' nice, especially considering the cost.

Saw this on a promotional video that FMS made a couple of years ago. Checked Horizon Hobbies, and sure enough, they were bringing them in. I ordered one from my LHS, and it arrived today. Materials are first rate, and the anodized finish is beautiful ( I hope I don't scrstch it!). Some minor assembly is required and took less than 5 minutes. The stand is adjustable, and fits my small foamies, as well as The H9 30cc Beaver. It may fit larger models, but that is the largest plane I have. The stand folds flat and is very easy to carry around and set up in the shop, or out at the field. I was using an auto body paint stand before, and this unit is much easier to handle, and is more compact.
