Somewhere Safe with Somebody Good Mitford Paperback 0399172211 9780399172212 Jan Karon
Key item features
After five hectic years of retirement from Lord’s Chapel, Father Tim Kavanagh returns with his wife, Cynthia, from the land of his Irish ancestors. While he’s glad to be at home in Mitford, something is definitely missing from his life: a pulpit. But when he’s offered one, he decides he doesn’t want it.
For years, he believed he had a few answers. Now he has questions. How can he possibly help Dooley’s younger brother, Sammy, make it through the fallout of a disasterous childhood? Could doing a good deed for the town bookstore be the best thing for his befuddled spirit? And who was riding through town in a limo? Not Edith Mallory.
Then an editorial in the weekly Muse poses a question that sets the whole town looking for answers: Does Mitford still take care of its own?

Wonderful
I had been slowly buying this series over a period of years. Thought that I only needed the first 4. Then I realized that I had read the complete series 5 times. I was checking the other books out of the library. This was one of the few series that I had to have the whole set. With these last purchase's I now have the complete set. It' wonderful. It's Christian writing but not in your usual way. I would move to Mitford (the town in her series) right now. It's a place where people care about each other. They don't think anything of coming forward and offering help when it's needed. It's hard to find a place like that in real life any more. So I visit by reading these books. Yeah! I have the complete set now. Until she comes out with another one, which she is soon. I have to wait for paperback, but eventually I'll get it also.
