Not waterproof

The cover seems to be of quality heavy duty material, however, it is definitely NOT waterproof. I purchased it primarily as UV protection for my kayak, and it should do well that way. I had my doubts about it being waterproof, because polyurethane coated material will not keep out driving rain. Needing to remove the cover after a storm to dry it inside-out to prevent mildew is a pain. I've only owned this cover for a couple days and the rain got through the material, and yes, I had the zipper on the bottom as per the instructions. Other than that, the cover is a good fit lengthwise and wide enough to fit a canoe.
