Great Rod and Reel

I bought two of this combo, one for me, and the other for my grandson. My grandson is a very active Boy Scout, and his Troop does monthly camping trips into the mountains of Western and North Central Arkansas and Eastern Oklahoma, as well as areas of North East Texas. He has caught a variety of fish on this combo, including some very nice Rainbow and Golden Trout. He loves it because it is durable, light-weight, easy to assemble, and he can get to the business of fishing. He also notes that the rod gives excellent feedback and he is catching more hits, and thus more fish, than with his old combo. Great products!

This is the best rod reel for our business model

We have been using the platinum combo at our summer camps, teaching kids to fish. We have approximately 900 kids per year learning to fish many for first time. These are reliable and consistent. As you can imagine they get a workout but they keep casting

Zebco's tried & true model

I've had this reel for a few months and have fished with it in 35 degree weather. I clean it after every use, use line conditioner, and I have experienced no problems what so ever. This reel has been used a lot since October and it is still butter smooth. Those who say it isn't as good as vintage models, I don't know. Maintenance is the key.
