I Love This Pet Food Container !!!

I looked on several websites to find something to store 16 pound bags of dry cat food that didn't cost a lot of money. I needed something that would keep the food dry and free of pests as our house is built on a slab and we routinely get those little ants in our house looking for food. I also wanted something that was easy to open and wouldn't tip over. I kept coming back to WalMart and looking at this product. So, I ordered one. It has all the features I want and the price is great. No ants are able to get into the container and it has a handle for lifting. It says on a label on the container that it will hold 15 pounds plus of kibble. It did not hold the entire bag of 16 pound adult cat food, maybe by three to five pounds. It might be due to the size and shape of the actual pieces of the cat food. But, that is okay with me. I could have ordered the bigger size, but wanted the smaller size since I have three different foods that I buy for each cat depending on their needs. And, living in a small house I don't have a lot of storage. I plan on ordering two more of these in the same size. I routinely order from WalMart and have never had a problem with anything that I have ordered. Whenever I have returned an item to their local store from something I ordered online it has never been an issue. I know I can always count on Walmart to have what I need at a good to great price. And with living on a fixed income, that is very important to me. Their shipping charges are great compared to the online pet websites and I like that I can order the item and have it picked up locally at one of their stores.

Keeps food fresh and pest free!

I recently purchased the Gam Vittle Vault to keep my cat's dry food fresh and safe. I believe this size holds 10 lbs of dry food. I purchased the large size a few years back to hold a 20 lb. bag of dog food. We occasionally have an ant problem in our kitchen area and this seals tightly to keep pests out. I always keep the pet food in the original bag... just cut off the top and drop the bag of food into the container. The food stays fresher this way. If you choose to dump the contents of the bag into the container, the container should be washed and dried (completely) between bags. The oils from the food sticks to the sides and bottom and will turn rancid. (it's much easier to keep the food in the bag!). I love this product.

Fit Vittles

Excellent Construction. Seals food for ultimate freshness and keeps out pests. The "50" holds a 44 lbs bag with a little room to spare. I have seen nothing better on the market for it's purpose.
